Fiber optic connector, is a removable (movable) connection between the fiber and the fiber, it is the two ends of the fiber precision docking together, in order to maximize the light energy output from the transmitting fiber coupled to the receiving fiber, and minimize the impact on the system due to its intervention in the optical link.
